SCWCEA Conference Safety Precautions

All attendees and participants will be required to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival before being allowed to participate.

All attendees will also be asked to verify that they have not had close contact (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes) with anyone diagnosed with the virus and they have not travelled internationally in recent weeks.

Attendees who are symptomatic prior the conference are asked to stay home.

Attendees who are symptomatic during the conference are required to quarantine in their hotel room, notify the front desk who will notify the SCWCEA and work to obtain proper medical care and transport.

Attendees who are symptomatic within 7 days following the conference are to contact the SCWCEA at donna@scwcea.org for contact tracing purposes.

Symptoms may include but are not limited to:

Atypical cough
-
Atypical shortness of breath
-
Fever of 100 degrees F or 37.8 degrees C, or above
-
Chills/repeated shaking
-
Muscle pain
-
Sore throat
-
Headache
-
New or loss of taste or smell

The SCWCEA will follow:

CDC guidance for people who are fully vaccinated - to maximize protection from the COVID-19 and its variants and prevent possibly spreading it to others, wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.

Due to our cooperative agreement with the meeting facilities, if you have not been fully vaccinated, a mask covering both the nose and mouth will be required at all times while inside the hotel unless eating or drinking, or while in your guest room.

In general, people are considered to be fully vaccinated:

2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
-
2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's  Janssen vaccine

For those who have not been fully vaccinated, state and municipal health guidelines stress that, whenever possible, all persons should leave at least 6 feet (approximately 2 meters) of space to the person closest to them.

Face Masks and Social Distancing

All attendees are encouraged to bring their own personal protective equipment (e.g. masks and hand sanitizer) for their personal use.

It is highly recommended that if you have not been fully vaccinated, a mask covering both the nose and mouth be worn while inside the hotel unless eating or drinking, or while in your guest room.

The SCWCEA recommends that if you do not meet these requirements, regardless of your age, you are NOT fully vaccinated. Keep taking all precautions until you are fully vaccinated.
General Hotel Cleanliness

The hotel requires team members to wear face masks if they have not been fully vaccinated – and additional personal protective equipment based on job specifications.

Public bathrooms will be cleaned frequently (more than once an hour).

Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival. During your stay, hotel will not provide housekeeping automatically every day. If you wish to receive daily housekeeping refresh service, please let the guest services team know. They will be happy to schedule service according to your preferences

Coffee makers and mini refrigerators remain in guest rooms. All paper (menus, magazines, etc.) have been removed.

Disinfectant wipes are placed in each guest room upon arrival.

Early check-in and late check-out will be extremely limited as housekeeping requires additional time to clean rooms in-between guests.
