SteadPoint Risk Management Solutions provides Third Party Administrator support to SteadPoint Insurance Group, a mono-line Workers' Compensation General Agency & Agency Underwriter for the Southeast, including Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Virginia. The Job

A Claims Adjuster with SteadPoint Risk Management Solutions is responsible for the oversight and management of workers' compensation claims involving serious injuries, including determining compensability, acquisition of recorded statements, coordinating medical care, handling legal counsel when required, and directing/coordinating claimant benefits. 

This position is a Non-Exempt position eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance. The position is also eligible for vacation time after 90 days, and retirement with employer matching after 1 year.

 

Requirements:

  • Workers' Compensation Claims Adjusting experience.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written.

  • Ability to handle customers in a calm, professional, friendly and patient manner.

Preferred:

  • Experience adjusting complex Lost-Time claims within the SouthEastern U.S.

  • Experience negotiating settlement and working with legal teams.

  • Proficiency in Medical Terminology.

  • Knowledge of applicable state law with regards to workers' compensation.

Plus:

  • Experience adjusting in GA and/or SC
