Pain Management: Good, Bad & Alternative Solutions
Pain Management is a critical component in workers’ compensation cases. Opioid usage is on the rise to treat those who live with chronic pain. According to the CDC, approximately 40 US citizens die each day from overdoes or misuse of prescription medications and majority of these deaths are associated with Opioids.
There are currently no programs to regulate or monitor prescribers nor is there a mechanism in place to require drug testing or monitoring of claimants using these drugs. During this meeting, we will hear from the experts on the various perspectives and possible solutions for treatment of pain management patients in the workers’ compensation field.
